THE HISTORY OF COSTA IBÉRICA - MADEIRAS, S.A.

2003 - Installation of new debarking, sorting and sawing lines Magnification of the manufacturing unit (actual area: 50.000 m2).

1999 -Certification by the standard NP EN ISO 9002 being the first Portuguese company to be certified for the manufacture of wooden pallets

The same year the company changes it’s name to “Costa Ibérica - Madeiras , SA”

1995 - Introduction of a new product: lamellated panel

1994 -Action of business demonstration

This action had a view to the utilization of flexible productive process in a sawmill.

1993 - Second increase of capital

The “Irmãos Costa, Lda” introduce a new product in its range of products: the wooden pallets.

1988 - First increase of capital to 30.000.000 Escudos

1986 - New fabric facilities

To face a larger offer of raw material, biggest facility in the provisioning, along with a promising market, “Irmãos Costa, Lda” moves to new facilities, allowing the enlargement of the sawmill and eliminates the carpentry sector

1982 - Constitution of “Irmãos Costa, Lda”

The company “Irmãos Costa, Lda” begins its activity with the manufacture os sawmill products. With a capital stock of 900.000 Escudos and traditional machinery, the company successfully inters in the Spanish market with the exportation of sawed timber.

1975 - Establishment of a small carpentry directed exclusively to the regional market.
