“Costa Ibérica – Madeiras, SA” was founded in 1982,under the designation of “Irmãos Costa, Lda,” having as principal activity the manufacture of sawmill products namely sawed timber for exportation.

Built in an area where the number of sawmills was very significant “Costa Ibérica” soon understands the need from the sawmills company to a give qualitative jump in a higher sophistication of its products and industrial process. That’s why; Costa Ibérica have been making some investments since it’s constitution.

Following this investment policy, Costa Ibérica bought a destroyer; which allows the transformation of the wood wastes in chips, which are sold to plywood manufacturers.

We also bought tow lines for the manufacture of pallets in order to give more value and diversify the range of products that was offered until then.

This active attitude toward the market has allowed a great increase of the range of products, and their quality, as a way to respond to the growing needs of the clients.

Costa Ibérica was the first of the sector (manufacture of wooden pallets) to obtain the certificate of Quality Assurance emitted by SGS, NP EN ISO 9002.
